A 41-year-old man who was struck and killed by an aircraft at Denver International Airport died by suicide after scaling a remote fence and entering an active runway, according to authorities. The city’s medical examiner, Sterling McLaren, said the determination was based on postmortem findings, though no note was recovered. The incident involved a Frontier Airlines flight whose engine caught fire after the collision, forcing an emergency evacuation. Airport officials said 12 passengers suffered minor injuries, five were hospitalized, and four have since been released.
