White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt pushed back on questions from CNN's Kaitlan Collins during a press briefing about President Trump's claims regarding the 2020 election. After Collins repeatedly asked whether Trump's expected announcement would lead to criminal charges, Leavitt said she could not speak on behalf of the Justice Department. "I don't charge people. I speak on behalf of the president," Leavitt said, ending the exchange by directing further questions to federal prosecutors.
