Most coffee beans are naturally green, and their iconic dark brown color. Comes from the caramelization of sugars as the coffee beans are roasted. These sugars are water-soluble.

Unfortunately, coffee stains tend to happen at the most inopportune times. Fortunately, it doesn’t take much time to respond quickly to a coffee stain and a little bit of pretreatment goes a long way to removing the stain completely.
03:30 Machine-Washable & SOME Spot Clean Fabrics
The following process will apply to most garments that can be machine-washed like cotton and synthetic fabric. A similar technique will also be employed with spot-clean and delicate fabrics but we’ll have specific suggestions for the latter. As always, if you’re worried about how a cleaning process might interact with your garment’s fabric, test it on a discreet area first.

Delicate fabrics, like silks, require specially formulated cleansers. So whether spot cleaning or washing, follow the same steps outlined above.

Because of their knit fibers, you’ll definitely want to avoid scrubbing knitwear if possible. So make a solution of cool water and a mild detergent. Dab it onto the stain and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then soak the entire garment in a solution of tepid water and Woolite or a comparable detergent before handwashing and air-drying.

Dried coffee stains can prove to be particularly stubborn. So consider soaking a set-in stain in cool water for several hours to reactivate it. Then running through whichever set of instructions we’ve already gone through best apply to your fabric and stain situation.

First here: we haven’t mentioned leather and suede products yet because they require their own special cleaners, whose directions should be followed for best results. Next: if the coffee beverage that’s stained your garment contained milk or other organic, fatty compounds, the tips we outlined today should still work well.
