DON’T Buy These 4 Things from Brooks Brothers!
Brooks Brothers might be an iconic American brand, but avoid the following offerings!
1. Dress Socks
Made mostly from a polyester-nylon blend, Brooks Brothers' socks are almost all woven to mid-calf height, and are therefore too short to stay up properly.
2. Small Accessories & Leather Goods
Most of the small accessories from Brooks Brothers, especially leather goods like wallets, feature low- or medium-quality materials at higher-end prices; stamping that Golden Fleece logo into a mediocre leather wallet doesn't magically double its value!
3. Sized Garments (If You're Difficult to Fit)
While Brooks Brothers occasionally offers smaller or big-and-tall sizing, their shirts, trousers, and suits are clearly cut with more typically sized gentlemen in mind; if you have atypical dimensions, you might find these garments out of proportion on your body.
4. Trendy Collaborations
Recently, Brooks Brothers has started collaborating with other, trendier companies like Spyder, FILA, and Sperry; almost invariably, these limited-edition offerings aren't Brooks Brothers' best work, and they tend to have noticeably inflated prices relative to quality.
