Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced on Sunday that Canada will be firing back at the U.S. with dollar for dollars tariffs, after Washington's latest imposition of tariffs.
The retaliatory tariffs come after President Trump's new 50% tariffs that went into effect at midnight.
Prior to Carney's announcement, the U.S. and Canada had days of intense negotiations, though the two failed to reach a deal.
