Trouser "Rise"--and Why It Matters!
The "rise" on a pair of trousers is how high or low the waistband sits around your middle; typically, pants will have either a low, medium, or high rise; this means they either sit low on your hips, just at the top of your hip bones, or all the way up to your belly button.
What's right for you will depend on two things: your height and what comfort level you're looking for. If you're tall, then you might want to even things out with a higher rise, which will make you look more proportionate than a low rise would. Meanwhile, if you're shorter, then a mid- to low-rise might be a better solution, as it'll give the appearance of more height--plus, it won't look like your pants have been hitched up too high!
Regardless of your height, you want to be comfortable in your clothes; for many, this means a rise that sits around your belly button. Want to know more? Check out our full-lenth video to find your ideal fit!
