My name is Ahmed Elmahdi. I hold a PhD in Automatic Control Engineering from Purdue University. I am originally from Benghazi, Libya, and I currently live in Indianapolis, United States. I come from a strong academic and research background.
Coming from academia and research, one challenge was finding the right platform that could match the depth of learning I was used to. Initially, I expected the program to be more introductory and not very deep, which made me slightly skeptical at the beginning.
With the rapid advancement of AI and machine learning, I realized that continuous learning is essential. The field is evolving quickly, and to stay relevant, I needed to deepen my understanding of these emerging technologies.
My motivation came from my passion for research and learning. I wanted to explore AI and machine learning more deeply and integrate these into my academic and research interests. The opportunity to go beyond surface-level knowledge was very important to me.
I enrolled in the program expecting a general introduction, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it offered much deeper insights than I initially anticipated.
The learning experience exceeded my expectations. The program went deeper into topics like Python, data science, and machine learning, which was very valuable given my research background.
