Why International Students Are Giving Up On The U.S.

For decades, international students have come to the U.S. with a clear expectation: earn a degree, get a job, and build a life in the country in pursuit of the American dream. But for many graduates, that path is becoming increasingly difficult at every step. International students are entering one of the toughest entry-level job markets in years while also navigating a rapidly changing immigration landscape. As a result, some students have resorted to "parallel planning," where they explore alternatives back home or in other countries outside of the U.S.
