Autism assessments: Quarter of families wait at least four years, survey shows

Official figures out today reveal the number of people in England waiting for an autism assessment has risen 47 per cent in the past year.

But what they don't say is how long they're waiting. An exclusive survey for this programme gives a snapshot of just how long the waits can be - with a quarter of families surveyed waiting four years or longer.
