Oprah DISTANCES Herself From Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz

Oprah Winfrey speaks out about her talk show's former contributors, Dr. Phil McGraw and Dr. Mehmet Oz. In a new interview with 'Emmy Magazine' about building her media empire, Oprah addresses criticism over giving both men their start, given their pivots into politics and controversy in recent years. Winfrey praises Dr. Phil for supporting her during a 1998 lawsuit, when Texas cattlemen sued her for defamation after she discussed the beef industry on her show. Winfrey says each man must take responsibility for the choices they've made since leaving her platform: 'Everybody has their own path in life.'
