ICE officers in Dallas arrested Jose Mauricio Carillo Mendoza, a Salvadoran national wanted in El Salvador on multiple homicide charges and in Minnesota on a felony domestic assault case. Authorities say Mendoza, an alleged 18th Street gang member with a prior deportation order and multiple removals from the United States, initially attempted to evade arrest before being taken into custody by a special response team. He now faces felony illegal reentry charges before deportation proceedings.
