Who Has The Best Quantum Computer?
This is a summary of all the main companies building quantum computers today, and what their most powerful machines are. You can get the digital image here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/95869671@N08/51849762629/in/dateposted-public/ But we can’t simply look at qubits counts because so many other factors go into the quality of a quantum computer, so here I look at the quantum volume metric which is a much better way of comparing machines. And we look at what steps these companies need to take to achieve large scale useful general purpose quantum computers, and the timelines the companies have set out to achieve these.
