Vice President JD Vance on September 3, praised a U.S.-Venezuela oil deal as “an amazing testament to what a smart foreign policy could look like.” Speaking at a White House press briefing, Vance said the agreement would benefit Venezuelans, U.S. consumers, and American taxpayers. The comments followed commitments by Chevron, Italy’s Eni, and other foreign energy companies to expand oil projects in Venezuela and increase production.
