My name is Haider Tememi, and I live in Michigan, United States. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and a master’s degree in Health Informatics and Data Analytics. I currently work as a freelance consultant in data analytics and have experience working on projects across industries such as retail, healthcare, and insurance.
Coming from a microbiology background, transitioning into coding and AI was challenging at the beginning. Learning programming concepts like Python required a shift in mindset. Instead of memorizing code, I had to focus on understanding how to apply it effectively. Balancing work, consulting projects, and learning was also a challenge.
I realized that AI is becoming essential across all industries. Companies are increasingly integrating AI into their systems, and to stay relevant and competitive, I needed to upgrade my skills in AI engineering alongside my data analytics background.
My motivation came from the growing importance of AI in industries like retail, healthcare, and insurance. I wanted to enhance my profile, work on more advanced projects, and improve my efficiency in tasks like data processing, dashboarding, and consulting work. AI also helps me complete tasks faster and more effectively.
I enrolled in the Microsoft AI Engineering program through Simplilearn, as it aligned well with my goal of advancing my skills in AI and data science.
The program helped me build strong foundational and advanced skills in Python, machine learning, deep learning, and AI engineering. It provided a structured path to understand how these technologies work together.
Although it was challenging initially, especially coming from a non-programming background, the curriculum made it easier to gradually build confidence and competence.
There were multiple support channels, including Slack and direct messaging, which made it easy to get help whenever needed.
