For the logo redesign series, I asked you to send me emails
with the link to your portfolios. But many of you said that you
don't have a portfolio or you don't know where to share your work.
So, in this video, I will show you where exactly to showcase
your work and gain exposure, so consequently, you will get more clients.
As freelance graphic designers, we need to work hard on our personal brands,
and to do so, we need to present ourselves and our work the right way.
Today, I will feature three main ways that will help you to showcase your work,
land more clients as a freelancer, allow employers to find you,
or simply gain exposure and name recognition.
1) Personal website.
The first and the most effective way is to have your personal
portfolio website. A platform you own, where you can showcase
your work, the way you want, with no limitations.
you can launch a blog and share articles related to your field
so you will rank well on google. You can even sell your designs
and teach what you know.
launching a personal portfolio website is one of the best things
to do for your career, you need good hosting, a great domain name,
and a theme to do that. While this might seem like a big endeavor,
Hostinger makes it an easy task that will make a huge difference for you.
2) Creative Communities.
-Behance.
The second platform to mention here is Behance.
it is a social media platform owned by Adobe to showcase and discover creative work.
Users can sign up to Behance and build profiles consisting of projects. Both registered
and unregistered users can "appreciate" any particular project, as well as comment on them.
Members of Behance can follow other users' profiles.
-Dribbble
The first Creative community platform that I will talk about, is Dribble.
It is self-promotion and social networking platform for digital designers
and creatives. It serves as a design portfolio platform, jobs, and recruiting site
and is one of the largest platforms for designers to share their work online.
3) Social Media(Facebook, Instagram).
The third and final way to showcase your work is Social Media.
While Dribbble and Behance are great for sharing and getting
your work in front of professional eyes, social Media still
provides access to a much wider audience than any other
platform and allows you to engage with literally anyone.
