On Thursday, April 16th, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth told a Pentagon briefing that China has assured the United States that it will not send weapons to Iran during the ceasefire. Hegseth said “Well, as you know, President Trump has a very strong and direct relationship with President Xi, and they've communicated on that. And China has assured us that that indeed is not going to happen."
