Mike Ditka, Chicago Bears Legend, Dead at 86
Mike Ditka, a Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end and Chicago Bears icon, is dead. He was 86. Jarrett Payton, son of Super Bowl champion Walter Payton, made the announcement on 104.3 The Score on Wednesday morning. Ditka's cause of death hasn't been made public, although 'Da Coach, as he was known, had a history of cardiovascular issues, including a minor stroke and two separate heart attacks. After he retired from football, Ditka became one of the most recognizable faces in sports commentary. He also made his mark on Hollywood, starring in dozens or TV shows and movies, including 'Kicking and Screaming' with Will Ferrell and Robert Duvall.
