'I was infected with hep C when I was six' | Australian Story
Tristan is one of up to 20,000 Australians who were infected with contaminated blood products and routine blood transfusions provided by the Red Cross and the then government-owned Commonwealth Serum Laboratories from the 1970s to early 1990s.
While safety procedures in the blood system have since improved dramatically, many of the recipients of bad blood continue to suffer.
Tristan is fighting for an apology and a federal inquiry into the medical disaster.
