Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent gave a hilarious reasoning behind his viral notes in a White House cabinet meeting on May 27. Bessent was snapped by journalists' writing "resilience" in his notes during the all-hands meeting.
The secretary quipped that he wrote the phrase, "so people could look over my shoulder and photograph them and think they got a scoop"
