Coast-to-coast storms ripped through the Midwest and dramatic tornadoes touched down in central Nebraska. Severe weather and 25 reported tornadoes stretched into South Dakota and even Iowa. At the same time, the Northeast corridor is cooking with high 80- and 90-degree temperatures, and several cities are now poised to break records.
