An entire row of shops collapsed into a river in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir after torrential rainfall caused the swollen Sukhnag Nallah to erode the building's foundations. The commercial complex had been evacuated in advance following weather warnings, and no injuries were reported. The collapse comes amid widespread flooding across northern India, where heavy rains have damaged roads, bridges, and other infrastructure, with at least 12 people killed and several others still missing in the region.
