Secretary of War Pete Hegseth told lawmakers that U.S. military operations in Iran have cost an estimated $37.5 billion so far, including projected expenses through Sept. 30. Testifying before the Senate Appropriations Committee alongside Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine, Hegseth provided the updated figure during his first public appearance before Congress since the U.S. resumed military operations in Iran earlier this month.
