LIRR Service to Resume After MTA and Union Leaders Reach Deal
Service on the Long Island Rail Road is scheduled to resume at noon on Tuesday after a deal was reached to end a labor strike that shut down the country’s largest commuter railroad. New York’s Gov. Kathy Hochul says the new deal between the MTA and LIRR unions “delivers raises for workers while protecting riders and taxpayers.”
