Black children more likely to be strip searched
Black children across England and Wales are almost eight times more likely to be strip-searched by police than their white peers according to a new report by the Children's Commissioner.

The searches were usually found to have happened because of suspicion of drug possession, and nearly half of all searches resulted in no further action.
It comes more than five years after the case of Child Q, the Black 15-year-old schoolgirl who was strip-searched with no appropriate adult present while menstruating. Two police officers were later dismissed for gross misconduct.
