How to Tie: The Kelvin Knot
Here's how you tie the Kelvin Knot!
To start, the slim end is going to be much shorter; you want its tip about 1 to 1.5 hands above your waistband.
Bring the slim end in front of the wide end, loop it around the wide end once, and then tighten it up. Pinch the knot with your fingers, and loop the slim end around once more.
Next, take the wide end, come through from the back, pull it tight, and bring the wide end through the knot. Here, you just want to go through the top layer of the knot, not both layers.
To create a dimple, pinch the wide end from the top as you pull it through the knot. Pull on the slim end to adjust the knot and tighten the tie, until you like the look!
