The new Audi Q4 e-tron is here, and while it might not look dramatically different at first glance, this update is more important than it seems. This is Audi’s best-selling electric car, built on the hugely successful MEB platform, so getting the balance right between improvement and familiarity really matters.
Join Ginny as she takes a proper look at what’s changed, what hasn’t, and whether this mid-size electric SUV still deserves its place at the top of the class. There are subtle exterior tweaks, including improved aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of 0.27 for the SUV and 0.26 for the Sportback, new wheel designs ranging from 19 to 21 inches, and fresh colour options. Look closer and you’ll spot redesigned bumpers, updated lighting signatures, and clever airflow details that help boost efficiency.
But the real story is inside. The cabin has had a proper overhaul, with softer-touch materials, a redesigned centre console, and more ambient lighting throughout. There’s now a large curved display setup, optional passenger screen, and improved usability across the board. Audi has also added smarter tech, including an AI voice assistant powered by ChatGPT, along with a new privacy mode for the infotainment system. Practical touches include dual 15W wireless phone chargers, more storage space, and subtle details like illuminated cupholders.
In terms of efficiency, the Q4 e-tron now achieves up to 14.8 kWh/100 km (WLTP), while battery options include 59 kWh and 77 kWh usable packs. Depending on the version, range goes up to 370 miles, and charging speeds reach as high as 185 kW. Performance models offer up to 335 hp with quattro all-wheel drive, and it can tow up to 1,800 kg, making it as practical as it is usable day-to-day.
