The rivalry is back. For decades it was BMW 3 Series vs Mercedes C-Class. Now, both have gone electric, and the battle for executive EV supremacy has begun.
In this first drive review, Ginny heads to Finland to test the all-new Mercedes C-Class Electric. Built on a dedicated EV platform, it promises up to 472 miles of range in UK specification, 489hp, ultra-rapid 330kW charging, and all the luxury you'd expect from a Mercedes.
But is it enough to fend off the upcoming BMW i3, or is the Tesla Model 3 still the car to beat?
With its whisper-quiet cabin, impressive refinement and effortless motorway manners, the electric C-Class feels every bit like a Mercedes should. But with prices starting from £57,995, can it justify costing significantly more than key rivals?
