Tony Romo Admits to Dependence on Pain Meds, Alcohol Abuse After Pleading No Contest to DUI
Tony Romo admits to a dependence on pain meds and alcohol abuse after pleading no contest to an OWI (operating while intoxicated, a form of DUI) charge. Tony shares on Instagram, ‘I own this completely’ and ‘multiple back surgeries left me with constant, debilitating pain.’ He admits to a reliance on alcohol in connection with his efforts to get off pain medications. The state revoked Tony’s driving privileges for six months, and he must pay a $784 fine, complete an alcohol assessment program and get an ignition interlock device (breathalyzer) installed into his vehicle.
