This AI model can't write a single sentence. It can't code, it can't chat, and it can't summarize anything for you. Compared to a frontier model like GPT 5.5, it's about 65x cheaper to run, and for a lot of what we actually use LLMs for, I think it's the better choice.
It's called Jev, from TypeSafe AI, and it's a "System One" model: built to make one fast, structured decision instead of generating text. I spent a few weeks testing it across four real tests, including 1,000+ real customer messages and 350 sneaky shell commands, and compared it against a cheap LLM (Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite) and an expensive one (GPT 5.5).
