The Hendrix Pentatonic combines the Major and Minor 3rd producing a compelling dichotomy of sound that is angular and unusual, rarely seen in traditional resource books.
This set of notes: Root, minor 3rd, Major 3rd 5th and b7 creates a cool, tense feeling over a regular minor 7 chord.
