Rhythm Changes Mash up #1
I have just transcribed 21 rhythm change solos and thought it would be fun to mash up the approach of 3 different greats of jazz
1) the first approach is Louis armstrong´s
The melody I play is taken from Louis´s 1938 recording of I got rhythm
2) In the bridge you will hear are the exact notes Ben Webster played on his classic cotton tail solo of 1952
3) the last approach involves more notes! The lines I have written
pay homage to John Coltrane vintage 1956

My name is Nick Homes. I was, and still am a non genius musician who struggled for many years to find out the secrets of jazz improvisation. Throughout 40 years of playing, and obsessive investigation I have focussed on building systems of learning for my students so they can improve , and reach their learning goals with the highest probability.
