Everyone tells you to install as many Claude Code plugins and MCP servers as you can. More tools, more power, right? Here's the problem: once Claude can see more than about 50 tools at once, it starts picking the wrong ones and your agent actually gets worse, not better.
So I went through the entire plugin marketplace and the wider MCP ecosystem to find the tools that genuinely earn their spot. These are the canonical plugins I'd keep installed, including ones that completely change how Claude works with tools like databases.
