More than 280 residents of a village in Oxfordshire have voted to become independent of the UK in a symbolic referendum.
They have been protesting against plans to house more than a 1,000 migrants at a military base near their village of Piddington. The Prime Minister says he understands the strength of feeling but the only thing to do is to get the numbers down and the number of crossings down.
