He Knew Nothing About Trucking. Now 75,000 Trucks Run on His Platform
Gaurav Biswas knew nothing about trucking when a dinner-table argument inspired him to build what he called an “Uber for trucks.”
The first version of TruKKer launched in India in 2015 but struggled to scale. The company paused operations there in 2016 and shifted its commercial focus to the UAE, where long-haul freight routes were easier to prove.
Today, TruKKer says its network connects more than 75,000 trucks with about 1,200 enterprise clients across the Gulf, Türkiye, South Asia and parts of Central Asia.
Watch the video to learn how Biswas turned a dinner-table idea into one of the region’s largest digital freight networks — without owning a single truck.
