Ebola cases rapidly rise in DRC with 10 more countries at high risk

The death toll so far is a fraction of the 11,000 who died in the worst ever Ebola outbreak, that ended a decade ago.

But the speed with which the rare Bundibugyo strain of the virus is spreading through the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has alarmed health officials across the globe.
Uganda now has five confirmed cases and the African Centre for Disease Control says 10 neighbouring countries are at high risk. The United States has further tightened its entry restrictions.
