Kash Patel Hails DNA Breakthrough in Arrest of Illegal Immigrant in Decade-Long Serial Rape Case
FBI Director Kash Patel has touted a DNA breakthrough that led to the arrest of an illegal immigrant facing 30 charges, including rape, sexual battery, kidnapping, and strangulation. Alleged serial rapist Leonel Catalán-Torreblanca, 51, is accused of preying on women in Indianapolis since 2013 after illegally entering the US, Fox News Digital reported. Despite authorities suspecting a link between the alleged sexual assaults spanning over a decade, they had not been able to identify Catalan-Torreblanca as a suspect because he was not on the FBI's Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) database.
