Ex-Boyfriend’s Login Used in Alleged School Shooting Threat by 12-Year-Old
A 12-year-old student has been arrested after allegedly making a written threat to shoot up an elementary school, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said a Gaggle alert flagged a message sent to a teacher at McInnis Elementary that initially appeared to come from a 12-year-old boy’s account. However, investigators later determined the boy’s 12-year-old ex-girlfriend was responsible and had used his login information to send the threat. The girl is now facing charges of making written or electronic threats to kill and unlawful use of a two-way communications device, authorities said.
