Eleven defendants were charged in a five-count indictment by a federal grand jury in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in connection with a transnational drug trafficking organization. This organization imported massive quantities of methamphetamine from California and gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) from South Korea, for distribution along the East Coast.
