
UK energy bills on the rise
The maximum amount that energy companies can charge per unit will go up by 13% in July to reflect the increasing costs of fuel, especially gas, due to the ongoing conflict between the US, Israel and Iran.
A typical household would see bills rise by £221 a year. Homes on fixed tariffs are not affected.
