In this video, I open Carbon Electra 2 for the first time and build an entire piece of music live, from scratch, no presets, no theory lectures, no fluff. Just four oscillators, the incredible new wave terrain engine, and a sequencer that genuinely understands music. ?️
The thing that blew me away? The wave terrain oscillator. It's a 3D surface the sound moves across, and it's alive in a way wavetables just aren't. ? Then there's Scale Lock — flip it on, choose your mode, and the oscillators, the filter AND the sequencer all stay in key. Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian… pick one and it's basically impossible to play a bad note. ?
Once you hear how musical this thing is, chords, inversions, a built-in compressor catching every clip. You'll understand why I made the whole track without touching a single one of the 362 presets. ?
