? Today I'm digging into ACE Studio again, but this time from a proper production angle… because it now runs your own third-party VST plugins — and honestly, this makes it WAY more useful in a real workflow.
In this video, I start with the new Stem Splitter Custom Mode, which is genuinely clever. Instead of only pulling fixed stem categories, you just describe the part you want — and the AI separates that specific element for you. I use it to isolate a synth from one of my own original Doctor Mix tunes, giving me a clean piece of source material to build a whole new idea around.
From there I jump into ACE Studio to produce a remix around that isolated synth, then mix the whole thing using the plugins I already trust — EQ, compression, reverb and delay, plus a little creative saturation for character. I A/B as I go, so you can hear exactly how much difference it makes when you're shaping the sound with your own VSTs instead of being locked into one internal sound.
