Rising cancer rates in younger adults
A new study shows that 11 types of cancer are becoming more prevalent in the 20 to 49 age group. They include breast cancer, bowel cancer and liver cancer.

A full explanation for the rise is still unclear, but scientists say that an increase in obesity is playing a role. The Institute of Cancer Research and Imperial College London also analysed smoking, alcohol consumption and physical activity, which were all either improving or staying at similar levels.
