Police raid Crewe religious group over abuse claims
Police carried out a major raid on the headquarters of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light in Crewe as part of an investigation into alleged sexual offences, modern slavery, and forced marriage.

Nine people were arrested, and officers say the inquiry focuses on serious criminal allegations – not the religion itself.
The group should not be confused with Ahmadiyya Muslims, also called Ahmadis, a separate group with a large presence in the UK.
