How Sydney Harbour Bridge Could Have Looked
Arterra Interactive created seven Sydney Harbour Bridge design animations, showing off what the bridge could have looked like if another design was chosen.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a steel arch bridge that spans across Sydney Harbour, which carries road traffic, trains as well as pedestrians, and was Built in 1932.
The contract for the bridge was awarded to Dorman Long and Co Ltd on 24 March 1924 because the government had a similar experience with the designers and architects on Tyne Bridge, and because the steel arch bridge was cheaper and stronger than the other proposed solutions.
Thanks for watching.
