Large crowds have turned out in central London at a vigil for the former Cambridge University professor Jason Arday who was found dead last week.

Almost 100,000 people have now signed a petition drawn up by the Good Law Project calling for an immediate public inquiry.
It claims his death was the direct result of the sustained press harassment which Arday was subjected to and said racism lay at the heart of the story.
