The intro to Sweet Home Chicago is a beautiful little piece of blues guitar vocabulary, and everything in it translates directly into your own playing. It's in E blues, so any of these moves work over a standard blues in E.
It opens with a descending double stop sequence, just sliding that same two-note shape down the neck in whole steps, and that alone has a ton of feel to it.
The whole thing is compact and elegant. Learn the intro and you've basically learned a turnaround phrase you can drop into any slow blues. Try it out!
