Cloud Architect Kurt McAlpine and Lead Engineer Antony Southworth share how Halter enables farmers to remotely manage herds, monitor animal health, and optimize pasture allocation through a mobile app.
As Halter scaled across New Zealand, Australia, and the United States, the team developed Clank, an autonomous AI agent powered by Claude in Amazon Bedrock, to automate alert investigation, root cause analysis, and routine engineering workflows. With more than 16,000 Amazon CloudWatch alarms monitoring the platform, Clank helps engineers resolve incidents faster while reducing manual operational overhead.
