How many continents are there? Most will probably say 7, some will say less. But what if I told you that there was actually a new continent. One that you never learned about in school. Welcome to the continent of Zealandia! And, unlike the other 7 continents, this one is mostly underwater. But just because it's under the ocean, doesn't make it any less of a continent. In fact, it shares quite a lot with its above sea level siblings!
In this video, we'll go over exactly what makes a continent and the different ways in which we divide them. Then we'll cover Zealandia and what makes it a continent. Finally, we'll look at what a Zealandia continent would look like today were it not most submerged.
