Five Mozambique nationals killed in xenophobic attacks in South Africa
At least five Mozambique nationals have been killed in xenophobic attacks in South Africa according to the Mozambican government. Two other people also died in a road accident as they were travelling back to Mozambique.
There’s been a wave of protests, mostly against Black African migrants who are being blamed for issues like unemployment, crime and pressure on public services.
South African police say they are investigating the death of two men in Mossel Bay but they haven’t said whether the deaths were linked to the protests.
