How Air Releases Moisture at Sea
Temperature controls how much moisture air can carry. Warm air can hold a great deal of water vapour, but as that air cools, it eventually reaches a point where it can no longer keep all of that moisture suspended.
That point is called the dew point. Just like humid bathroom air condenses on a cold mirror, moisture inside a cargo hold will appear on whichever surface becomes cold enough first.
